Surely there is somewhere else further away from anyone where this can be built - there are many remote locations where this could be sited and as the articles rightly point out should it be considered at all - is it really safe ??

As a frequent visitor to this lovely old market town, it seems a shame if further ugly development was allowed to add to the recent horrendous pet food factory on the outskirts.

Neville Morley, Castle Cary

Jenny & John Martin, Castle Cary
We have grave concerns about the likely size of the building and its visual impact, the increase in traffic of heavy vehicles needed to service the site along inadequate roads and the unsuitability of the site being down wind in relation to the built up area with the inevitable emissions ending up in Castle Cary

There are so few villages as attractive as CC , with such a community spirit, business and amenities. It would be a crime to lose yet another one when there are industrialised areas that could sustain this type of proposal with far less impact on business, economy and local life. We are strongly opposed to this scheme.

This is not the appropriate site for such a huge facility. If there is a case for this technology it should be situated close to a significant source of energy demand with good transport connections that can take the thousands of tons of energy input that will be required. To bring this to the environs of Cary after we have already had to endure the dog food factory really is an abomination.

Thinking of moving to Castle Cary. This would be off-putting to myself and my young family. Where WILL people be able to move to soon to get away from this type of thing if this is permitted?

MJ Grub, Castle Cary
We don't need any more contamination in Cary.

Rita J Taylor, Castle Cary
I have grave concerns about additional traffic generated especially HGV

Mr & Mrs Wootton Banks, Castle Cary
This should not be allowed to go ahead. Castle Cary is a Historian town not a Industrial site.

Roy NEcker, Castle Cary

Nick Mann, Lamyatt
I am very much in favour of biomass technology, but this project is an entirely inappropriate piece of commercial opportunism.

Sebastian Galbraith-Helps, North Wootton
Please explore alternative locations where the infrastructure is established

Do not build it.

The villages close to Dimmer are already blighted by the smells from the dump. A further visual monstrsity will add insult to injury.

Andrew Davis, Ditcheat

nicholas smallwood, laamyatt
we already have a monstrous dogfood factory, this is outrageous

EMMA BARBER, DITCHEAT
NO GREEN FOOTPRINT IN THIS EQATION WHATSOEVER

Carolyn Eaton, Yeovil
The cattle incinerator at dimmer was bad enough. Surely they can't honestly trust Bronzeoak to run a power station. Logistically, aesthetically and environmentally Dimmer is an entirely inappropriate option - why burden a small corner of Somerset with this waste?!? How has a former ammunitions dump set up in the war turned into a hot spot for violating the local area?

xxxxxxxx, Lovington
This is not the right place for a such a huge facility. The roads are not suitable for the for the increase of heavy vehicles and if there is a case for this technology it should be situated close to a significant source of energy demand with good transport connections that can take the thousands of tons of energy input that will be required.

Chris Hoare, Lovington
quite quite awful: are the Council determined to destroy the countryside surrounding and the small country town of Castle Cary? It mustn't be allowed.
